Things marked “CC-BY-NC” are released under Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial 3.0.
The official page on CreativeCommons.org can explain this fully, but the gist of it is as follows:
You are free to:
Share the work with others by distributing it, copying it, transmitting it, throwing it in people’s faces, etc.
(Note that this does not negate any legal ramifications regarding throwing an object in someone’s face)
Remix the work by adapting it, changing it, splicing it into other works, setting it on fire, etc.
(Note that this does not negate any legal ramifications regarding setting an object on fire, and that would hurt my feelings since it’s my work)
Under these conditions:
Attribution: Tell people who the original work is by, and that it’s CC-BY-NC, but not in a way that suggests Plankhead/Zacqary endorses you
(Unless I do endorse you and tell you so, in which case, go for it)
Noncommercial: Do not use the work for commercial purposes or for profit
(Unless you work out a contract with me, which is totally doable)
If you would like something beyond the scope of this license (i.e. commercial use) in exchange for some amount of money directly proportional to how large of a corporation you are, don’t hesitate to ask about that.
